History of Our Association
The idea of a Provincial Association for the Royal Purple in Alberta was first discussed around a ktichen table and a
cup of coffee at the home of Brother Robert and Lady Linda Larson in Crossfield.
They had invited several ladies to their
house to discuss the idea and to how to go forward with this idea. Brother Larson , 1st Vice President of the Elks Association,
drafted a letter to all the Royal Purple Lodges in Alberta and B.C.
The Letter invited the Ladies to attend an
Information Meeting to be held on June 8th, 1991 at the Grande Prairie Elks Hall, in conjunctioon with the ALberta Elks Provincial
Conference.
At this meeting the ladies voiced the Pros and Cons of forming an Association, they decided to go forward
and investigate on what the feelings were of the Ladies in Alberta and B.C.
